John:
What do you do in your spare time? Great question, I have no answer as I have no spare time.
What inspires you? My wife Tracy, her passion as a disciple of Jesus and her love of people.
Why are you in ministry? What emotional reasons? To pass along what God gave me through Jesus, Grace. Love for God and a burden to help others in the darkness.
Who is a hero of yours? My parents are my heroes. I watched them help so many with basically nothing, they taught me what sacrifice and perseverance means.
What is something quirky about you? At one time I was a bouncer and bartender in a biker bar.

What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy fishing and chillaxing with family.
What inspires you? To watch others, grow in their walk with Jesus.
Why are you in ministry? What emotional reasons? I love serving others and love sharing my Jesus even more! Jail ministry is my passion and I am blessed that I have been given the opportunity to share how God has worked in my life with others. Although I have never been behind the vertical bars of jail, it took me finding the horizontal bars on a ladder to climb out of the mire pit that I was in!
Who is a hero of yours? I get my servant’s heart from my mom. I cannot remember a time in my life that she was not there to serve others.
What is something quirky about you? There are several things that I could share but I think the one thing that I am most thankful for is that my husband married his stalker!

Freed From Within is a continuous endeavor to help people that either has forgotten or never have known how to love God and others. Through structure and accountability, we help people transition from a primary self-focus to a focus of love for God, others, and lastly self.
